The King of Lesotho on an Official Visit to Ireland 20 - 22 May 2012
His Majesty King Letsie III will be on an official visit to Ireland from the 20th to 22nd May 2012. The King will be accompanied by Her Majesty Queen 'Masenate Mohato Seeiso. This will be the first official visit of the Head of State of the Kingdom of Lesotho to Ireland since ascending the throne in 1996.
His Majesty will be the guest of President Michael D. Higgins at the Áras an Uachtaráin. He will also meet representatives of the Government of Ireland and the Irish people in general.
Their Majesties will be accompanied by the Honourable Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture, Mrs. 'Mannete Ramaili, who is also the former Ambassador of Lesotho to Ireland. The Lesotho delegation will also include the Principal Chief of Quthing, Honourable Hlabathe Nkuebe; Senior Private Secretary to the King, Mr. Mabotse Lerotholi; the Deputy Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Mr. Thabang Lekhela; and other senior government officials.
The Lesotho Embassy in Ireland is looking forward to this historic visit, and anticipates a warm welcome of Motlotlehi Rabasotho to Ireland.
